VISUALISATION

This step follows on from step 17 on the relaxation page.

1. Imagine you are in a place a special place. Where you feel happy and safe (e.g. a beach, mountain, stream or desert any where that is peaceful and pleasant for you. This does not have to be a real place). I will be using a meadow by a stream near a mountain for the next part. Imagine you are warm and happy and safe, You can hear the water bubbling merrily there is a beautiful path with green trees over hanging the path and you can hear the birds gently singing. You feel so happy, joyous as you skip along that path the sun is warm and there is a gently breeze. You begin gently climbing the mountain. The path gently winds up the mountain. Take as much time as you need to reach the top. This is your place at the top a special place where you can ask your higher self (or God or the divine what ever you relate to) what ever you wish to know and you will find the right answer. Take the first answer don’t think about it, it will be the right answer for you. ( I always imagine two intertwining doves as the feminine and masculine of my higher self)

2. When you are ready say good bye , head back down the path along the stream back to the meadow and with each step come back to your body until you can feel your body on the floor.( slowly return)

3. Slowly come back to your body become aware of your breathing in and out

4. Become aware of the sounds around you, slowly become aware

5. Come back to the room

6. Feel you body, slowly tense and relax each area of your body as described at the start

7. When you are ready slowly open your eyes.
